What is the AI content labeling requirement?
From 02.08.2026, Art. 50 of the EU AI Act requires certain AI content and AI interactions to be clearly disclosed. E.g. Deepfakes, AI chatbots, and AI texts on matters of public interest without editorial control.
Must every AI image be labeled?
No. What matters is whether the content looks real and is published. Illustrations and obviously artificial graphics are usually exempt; photorealistic product or lifestyle mockups often are not.
