AI Act Checker

About the AI Act Checker

A practical tool for quick classification. How a small side project became an EU-wide resource.

The AI Act Checker was meant to be a small fun project: a quick way to check whether an image or text must be labeled under Art. 50 EU AI Act. Without digging through PDFs or expert articles.

It soon became clear how much uncertainty there is. In marketing, e-commerce, and agencies, many teams wonder what actually applies from August 2026: product photos, chatbots, AI copy, newsletters.

Because this is about the EU AI Act, the site is available in 24 languages, with checklists, a quiz, and typical scenarios. The idea grew into more than originally planned.

The checker does not replace legal advice. It offers an orientation guide for classification. For borderline cases, consult a qualified lawyer.

The site was built with AI support; content was reviewed several times, always with human oversight. There is no guarantee of accuracy. Scenarios and references are nevertheless kept up to date.
