AI Act Checker

About the AI Act Checker

A practical tool for quick classification — how a small side project became an EU-wide resource.

The AI Act Checker was meant to be a small fun project: a quick way to check whether an image or text must be labeled under Art. 50 EU AI Act — without digging through PDFs or expert articles.

It soon became clear how much uncertainty there is — in marketing, e-commerce, and agencies. Many teams wonder what actually applies from August 2026: product photos, chatbots, AI copy, newsletters.

Because this is about the EU AI Act, the site is available in 24 languages — with checklists, a quiz, and typical scenarios. The idea grew into more than originally planned.

The checker does not replace legal advice. It offers an orientation guide — for borderline cases, consult a qualified lawyer.

The site was built with AI support; content was reviewed several times, always with human oversight. No guarantee of accuracy can be given — scenarios and references are nevertheless kept up to date.
